Dear Parishioners,
Greetings! It is our hope that you are having a day full of blessings. As an important part of our
family, we would like to tell you about our upcoming church fundraiser.
As you know because of many leaks and extensive water damage we had to have a new roof
put on the church before the summer rainy season began. To help pay for this unavoidable debt
we are going to mount a Tree of Life on the main wall of the Grogan Center.
The Corpus from the risen Christ crucifix which was mounted behind the altar
will be part of the “trunk” of our tree. Donor leaves will be engraved with
names or special messages and then placed on the branches, similar to the
picture.
The donor leaves are polymer with an acrylic backing for a 3-D effect. They are
available in three sizes and colors: Copper (overall size 3-3/8” x 2-2/8”), Silver
(overall size 4-7/8” x 3”) and Gold (overall size 3-1/4” x 5-3/4”).
Donations $500 and over will be recognized with a 10” Polymer Dove on
an acrylic backer.
We realize that these are difficult times for everyone, and that this may not be something that
you are able to take part in now. This will be an on-going fundraiser for Our Lady of Grace. Our
intention to let everyone know about it, whether you want to purchase a leaf right away or
sometime in the future.
Currently the only way to order a leaf is to fill out the order form and return it to the
church office, either by mail or in person. Soon you will be able to order online via our
webpage and Facebook page.
Like all the world, Our Lady of Grace Parish is slowly adjusting to our “new normal”. We are
now able to attend Mass in person or online. Amid all this the Church, and specifically, Our
Parish, has remained strong and determined in meeting the needs of our members.
Our “Tree of Life” will be a perpetual reminder of our determination to provide financial
support not only for the immediate roof replacement but for future needs as well.
Any questions, please call Debbie Augusta (863-991-1020) or Betty Anne Lee (863-873-7176).
May God continue to bless you and your family,
Father Ronnie Sison and The Tree of Life Committee
